The Missing Link

"Oooo, where in the name of Phil Collins AM I?" Mollie moaned. As the fog cleared, four figures appeared before her eyes. "Tasha! Sparki! Snerdly. And.... Bruce??"

"She's alive!! Oh thank heaven, she's alive!!" Bruce shrieked, throwing up his impeccably manicured hands. And he wept.

"I had the strangest dream," Mollie muttered. "You were there, and you, and you..."

Sparki happily stuck her hands in the pockets of her brilliant tye-dyed coat (a steal at $14.95!) and leaned against the wall of the ship. "Most totally overjoyous to have you back!"

"But... WHERE are we?"

"On the ship, silly," Tasha interjected, "don't you remember what happened?"

Mollie shook her head and sat up on the bunk. "No, actually, I -- Tasha, why are you wearing a fuschia shower curtain?"

"I'd... rather not talk about it," Tasha replied in a voice choked with emotion.

Bruce patted her hand comfortingly. "It's okay, darling, let it out!!"

Tasha wept.

There was no doubt strange things were afoot. Mollie suddenly realized that Bruce was cunningly disguised as Ethel Merman; Snerdly, silent and with haunted eyes, was wearing only a loincloth fashioned from a Macy's shopping bag; she herself was sporting a ragged and sangria-stained Minne Mouse costume.

"Okay, WHAT is going ON here?!"

"Well," Sparki began, "it is truly a most henious but enlightening tale. It all began when you and Snerdly were dragged off by those bogus guards..."
