Robin wading in the parking lot, about 10am on 9/6/04.
Our parking lot usually floods in the rain, but this is pretty impressive. Note: the photos are fuzzy from being taking through a plastic bag -- it was much too wet for an unprotected camera!
The water is about two feet deep. Note the cars precariously perched on the landscaping hills -- the highest point in miles!
The fence around the dumpster blew over, but no other damage in sight. (The beige thing is the dumpster - the dark teal is the other half of the fence.)
I just like the flash bouncing off the car lights. I wonder why they didn't move their car!
Another band of storms rolling through!
Note the water from the lake creeping towards 116th Ave. N. Looks like the street is already fairly flooded.
Purkinje watches from a dry vantage point in the kitchen window.
By 6:30pm, the waters had receded.
Palm fronds are scattered everywhere.
This spindly dead tree finally split and broke off. Had the storm actually been a hurricane when it got here, that branch could have flown anywhere.
116th Ave. is still flooded, as usual.
Another band of weather is coming through and the trees are blowing again.
The popular landscape hill carpark.
Another shot of our parking lot, sans deep water.
